As VP, Creative Director/UX Director at Fahlgren, I drove the creative studio, including all of the UX/IA, interactive design and concepting that was produced for our clients and partners. I worked with a talented team of architects, designers and developers to create forward thinking user experiences that inspire customers and drive results for our clients. I consider myself ultimately responsible for the quality of the final creative work that comes out of our shop. My drive comes from listening to and working directly with my clients. I strive to make their projects, ideas and visions the best that they can be. Prior to my time at Fahlgren,
I was the Creative Lead for the Mobile Practice at Resource. Over the span of four years I was able to establish this new practice and build a team of mobile experts. Along with my team, I have created both web and mobile campaigns for; Mitsubishi, HP, P&G, Head & Shoulders, Gillette Venus, Sherwin Williams, Purina Cat Chow, Speck, Ace Hardware, Kohler and Google. Additional, I have worked to develop course curriculum that is used throughout Resource to educate the company on mobile best practices and Responsive Web Design, or RWD.
I am most passionate about User Experience when it comes to UI design. It allows me to create immersive, functional experiences for each of my clients. I love to push clients to evolve each of their brands, as well as architect beautiful and smart digital experiences for consumers. I’ve been fortunate to work with a diverse range of clients over the years, including; Key Bank, White Castle, Long John Silver’s, NovoNordisk, Cephalon, Johnson & Johnson and CDW, just to name a few. Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to direct and produce award-winning creative, as both a talented creative director and manager. I was the recipient of the Adobe Site of the Day award, twice, for my work with White Castle and Long John Silvers and I received the Manny Award for my work with Cephalon.
Education & Teaching
I am an Ohio University graduate and received my Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communications. I followed with a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communications from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In 2002, I then went from student to teacher. I was a professor at the Robert Morris University in Chicago, teaching Media Arts and covering topics including web & interactive information. Again in 2007, I took on an Adjunct Professor role at the Columbus College of Art & Design, where I organizing and developing their Web Design 1 curriculum.
